Horrible new product

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have arthritis and the cream is hard to squeeze out of the tube. liquid was easier. my hair is long and thick now need 3 bottles, not 2. drop of new stuff fell on my arm and it burned badly. haven't rinsed it yet so haven't even seen the color or felt the texture very sad over change the old Clairol nice and easy was so good used it for 21 years will look for something else don't see why you changed it especially adding the cream stuff instead of the liquid was shocked when I saw this harder to mix up should have both products available 1 or 2 people might like the new formula you never know

Clairol Age defy 8A serial no. 802610****---01:25

The cream colorant would not come out of the tube easily. I had to cut the top and spoon it into the container to activate. The gloves are wrapped to tight in the plastic that hold them. They ripped causing one to tear completely. Could the colorant be old? I like this Age Defy and the color, but squeezing the cream was impossible. Help, because I plan on purchasing it again..Color is perfect for me. Thank you I have it on my hair now and hope it turns out like it did the last time. I cannot say anything more than what I have written above. The minimum is 100 words and I am trying to go onto the next page to send this complaint on.

Colour 7C dark cool blonde turned my hair dark brown

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Clairol hair colour 7C is described on the pack as dark cool blonde. The picture on the pack is nearer light blonde. When I used it on my very fair hair, bleached by the sun, it resulted in dark brunette, causing distress and inconvenience. I have used Clairol products many times in the past and have been satisfied with the results. On this occasion 7C was marked down at a lower price than all other shades, so I winder if there has been a mix-up at some stage in production. I claim compensation. Nice N Easy New Formula

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Very hard to find what used to be #103.

Finally found it and the color on the box is different from the color on one of my older boxes I still have here.

Very hard to get the tube to empty into the little bottle without tipping the bottle over.

Immediately noticed burning sensation after 5 minutes of putting on the white goo.

Put up with it and washed hair afterward.

24 hours later I woke in the middle of the night with my scalp on fire and itching so badly that I had to get up at 3AM and wash my hair again.

12 hours later it is still itching and hot.

What in the world did Clairol do to cause this?

I bought 6 boxes to stock up and now am out $48.00!

Can never take a chance on having this itching and burning again!

Nice N Easy never did this to me before.

The color is not multi- tonal anymore either. It is flat and blah.

Conditioner that comes with it is not making hair shiny anymore.

Why in the world would they keep changing the boxes and the numbers so many times that you can't find your color?

I always had compliments on how natural my 103 color looked and now it's a mess.

I am taking these back to the CVS and getting a refund.

Never again will I trust this company that can't stop changing things that don't need changing.

What idiot decided to do this to us?

Find out and fire them.....NOW.

Extremely annoyed

Clairol - Extremely annoyed
I brought two box dyes at the start of may to change my hair completely, it faded completely by one wash so i brought two more boxes and redid my hair. Its now near the end of may (4 boxes later) and the colour is nothing like what it was!! I have messaged them and tried to call. I want a refund of all four boxes or the same in vouchers so i can sort it out please

New formula sucks!!!

I have have been using Nice & Easy Light Auburn for 10 years and loved the results. My husband always applied the color so it would be even everywhere.

He applied it today, same as always and the coverage is uneven. My scalp is stained orange and I put lotion all around my hairline to prevent staining. It did not help. I only left the color on the ends 5 mins.

as instructed and they look more brown than red. I am very unhappy and will not purchase this product again unless they change it back!!!

I also used clairol for over 10 years myself. They sold the company, changed the formula and upped the price. Wella or Age Beautiful available at Sally Beauty Supply.

The new and improved 8g is awful as well. It is more green blonde and has lost the soft strawberry blonde shade. After many years goodbye Clairol.

Time for a switch anyhow.

Lost my damn hair thanks

used Clairol root touch up on a big gray patch right in front, guess what thanks to your product burning my scalp I no longer have hair there! won't grow back either. More words needed... well i used this product to combat my gray hair in front, then all of a sudden my hair falls out in one big clump in the exact place i used the Clairol root touch up. I now have to look for a wiglet to cover the front of my head. I have a blonde color of hair that i was using and it worked for a few years, but after a few years use, it had all it could take of the crap and all feel out! What else do you need me to say.... My nice hair now has a big *** clump out of it... So i used your product, so it caused this, so what are you gonna do about it. I am telling everyone i know that this has happened so that is does not happen to them. Thanks.

Not mad (WOW CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT)

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I heard of this website and decided to come look at the reviews. Honestly, I'm shocked. Is ANYONE testing this before they use it?? I've checked on it and the box says TWICE to do an allergy test and again reminds you to (in the directions), even in 2 other languages. It also says to "strand test" before applying?? Never did before this but because it's different- I did. Low and behold, I saw that I have to leave it on for less time. It's a COMPLETELY different formula than what I've been using for the last 20 years so this did not come as a shock to me..... DUH. The testing was excessive but helpful. You guys should read the directions.

I also did a few strand tests since it was a new formula; however, I still think the new formula is awful compared to the old formula. I left the dye on the amount of time indicated by my strand test but the color was still nothing like it was with the old formula.

I had used the color Light Ash Brown every 8-10 weeks for 12 years and always had a beautiful light brown color with multi-dimensional highlights but with the new formula I have a very dark brown color that is flat and no highlights.

I did testing on 4 different strands that I cut out of my hair, one that I left the dye on for 10 minutes, one that I left the dye on for 15 min, one for 20 min, and one for 25 min and they either didn't take up any dye at all (10, 15 min) or they ended up this ugly dark brown flat color (20, 25 min). I've used this new formula of Light Ash Brown 2 times now vs 12 years of the old formula of Light Ash Brown (which equals ~72 times I've used the old formula) and I can say, even after following the directions EXACTLY, that the new formula is way off compared to the old formula, and they should've changed the color names/numbers and removed the text "Blend of tones and highlights" from the box because the color is different and it no longer leaves your hair with tones and highlights.

Extremely upset customer

I have been using Clairol semi-permanent hair dye for over 20 years ,its the only product i can use as i have allergic reaction to permanent hair dyes. ...Why have they discontinued such a great product for people with sensitive scalp and also pregnant woman or people with ill health , i will never understand who makes the decision to change such great selling products and replace them with unsuitable and unreliable rubbish . Clairol you have lost my custom and i think many thousands more for not keeping to the standards we are used to from you as you new hair dyes dont do what you promise and are not gentle at all but instead are causing more allergic reaction.

I do not like the new Nice'n Easy hair colour .

It takes to long to get things ready . The tube with the colour is way more work than the old set up .

I have used this product for many many years .

I now I have to look for another product that is like your old setup . Why do you have to have 100 words to complain about your product I have all I need to say . This setup to complain is way to long to write when have no more to say .

I AM DONE {{Redacted}} THANK YOU .GOOD BYE . GOOD BYE .

I suspect that the change in the quality of Clairol Nice n' Easy is due to the fact that Proctor and Gamble used to manufacture and sell Clairol Nice n' Easy but Coty cosmetics purchased Clairol Nice n' Easy from Proctor and Gamble and it is Coty that released the new formula of Clairol Nice n' Easy.

I've been using Nice'n easy shade 7c for years. Its a blonde shade I'm happy with.

But when I used the new formula my hair turned a dark brown!!!!!

I need to know how to get back to my usual shade and I really wonder which product I will use in future. Such a pity that Clairol decided to change something that didn't need messing about with.

Had the same experience after using the same product last night. Will be looking for a new product and hoping that this brown hair lightens in the sun over the next week. What a shame they messed with a great product and ruined it.

Nice N Easy # 7New formula isn't true to color

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I used Nine and Easy #7 Dark Blond as always and my hair is now Brunette! The only difference is that I used their 'new' formula.

When I contacted Clairol, the chat person said it was because the formula was better at coverage and having the hair 'grab the color" I should have used a patch test! Of course, if the color is correct to begin with, then why did my blond hair 'grab' brunette? I was offered a full coupon OR I could apply to be reimbursed for a salon corrective AFTER I sent more info.

What a dreadful 'customer serve us" experience. Makes me wonder about Clairol- product is made in Mexico and maybe it is time to change hair color??

I agree. Used it this weekend and now I have gone from Dirty Blonde to Brunette.

Been using for over 40years and kept using that long because it worked great. Either they should return to the old formula or I will have to go elsewhere
